Known as a lush tropical paradise, Kauai is Hawaii’s fourth largest island and a great place for your next vacation. Some of the best hiking trails and beaches in the world line the edge of the island with a dense rain forest in the center that has been featured in action films like Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park.

Outdoor fanatics will be right at home with endless opportunities to hike, surf, and get involved with water sports. Everyone else will have fun accessing some of the best vistas by car and enjoying the laidback vibe of the island. Party people will probably want to skip this island as nightlife is pretty much nonexistent.

One year ago today I took my first yoga class. Though I may have looked zen on the outside, I was a nervous wreck inside. Venturing into the unknown can be scary!
