2019 Food and Wine Resolutions

January 1, 2019

Happy New Year!

Don’t you love the beginning of the year and all the promise it holds? After weeks of celebrations, wine, and cheese (so much cheese), life slows down enough for quiet reflection and thoughts for what is ahead.

Similar to last year, I’m focusing my New Year’s resolutions on food and wine. Here’s what I’m looking forward to drinking and eating in 2019!

Explore Natural Wines
After getting more confident with the wine selection at Trader Joe’s, I’d like to expand my palate and dip into natural wines. Since they tend to be on the pricier side and are harder to seek out, I’d like to try at least one a month.

Get Better at Baking Bread
Before our kitchen renovation, we baked no-knead bread a few times. I’d like to make it a routine and get better with practice. We’ll likely start the dough on Sunday morning and then bake the bread on Monday evenings.

Revive the Wine Club
It was fun to get together for wine club meetings and see our friends on a more regular basis. Life got busy towards the end of the year but I’d like to get some dates on the calendar soon.

There you have it! Three goals that I plan to tackle in 2019 that will make the world a more delightful place. Hope your resolutions are just as delicious!

P.S. Here are last year’s goals and the recap of how it all turned out.
