How to Make a Trader Joe's Michelada

Nothing says summer like a nice, cold michelada. Any fan of the Bloody Mary will love this beer-based drink that is just as addicting as it is refreshing.

Trader Joe’s Ingredients

• 6 pack of Trader Joe’s Premium Lager
• Trader Joe’s Bloody Mary Mix with Clam Juice
• Limes
• Salt to taste
• Trader Joe’s Jalapeño Pepper Hot Sauce (optional)
• Trader Joe’s Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce (optional)

Make the Micheladas

Get a tall glass and fill it about halfway with ice. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the ice.

Add a few shakes of salt to taste. You may also choose to sprinkle in a few drops of hot sauce if you like it spicy and/or a few drops of soy sauce for a savory kick.

Fill the glass about 1/3 full with the bloody mary mix. Then, fill the rest of the glass with light Mexican beer. Stir lightly to mix ingredients.

Give it a taste. If it doesn’t taste vibrant, you are probably missing a little bit of lime juice and/or some salt. Adjust accordingly and enjoy!

P.S. Here’s a list of what I always buy from Trader Joe’s and another refreshing drink for the summer (yes way rosé!).
